I'm Bored!!!

I'm borrrrred!!! My kiddos have worn my ears out with those 2 words. So....the fix:

The "Bored Jar." In a large mason jar, I put about 30 strips of paper with ideas on them. They have to draw one strip at random anytime I hear them say "I'm Bored!" The strips say everything from -Read for 20 mins, to Go for ice cream, to Pick up dog poop from the backyard, to clean your room, to craft project, to make your sibling's bed..... It works! :) (Idea from www.Pinterest.com---it's addictive. Be careful! lol)

Easy Breakfast!

Life with 4 kids, homeschool, soccer, volleyball and other fun things, makes breakfast a rushed meal- 6 out of the 7 days of the week. I love breakfast food, and could eat it for every meal! I also love watching sneakily as my kids eat yummy food with hidden veggies...... {insert evil mom laugh here}
Here is a new favorite for breakfast on the go:
Scrambled Egg Cups

You Need:
Muffin pan
Muffin liners

10-12 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped tomatoes
1 cup chopped bell pepper {your color choice- I used red}
1 cup chopped zucchini
1 cup chopped squash
Salt & Pepper to taste
1 cup grated cheese
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Pre-heat oven to 325*
Mix the top 9 ingredients- making sure that the eggs are scrambled in a mixing bowl with pouring spout
Fill muffin cups 1/2 to 3/4ths full
Bake until egg is cooked to your liking

Sprinkle a little Parmesan cheese on each cup and let them cool a little
Serve on the go :)

We put them in the fridge and heat-n-go through out the week. Enjoy!!

Great weekend adventures...

We went with some family to The Great Wolf Lodge last weekend. Man was it amazing!! What a fun family adventure, that we will definitely do again soon. I recommend it, and will tell you that it is worth the steep price tag... If you are wanting to go, watch their website for deals--- www.greatwolf.com
Inside is a HUGE water park, with BIG slides, kiddie areas, lazy river, wave pool, concessions (expensive), and a gigantic tree house with a 1,000 gallon bucket that fills slowly and pours out... Oh so much fun!!

Bedtime story every night...come in your pajamas and enjoy mother nature's entertainment. :)
Our kid's favorite part was the magic wand quest through out the entire hotel. You purchase a wand and quest guide book. Follow the treasure map clues and earn points. The hotel has secret rooms with talking trees and fairies that help you along the way. The wands activate so much as you go. Pictures on the wall talk and light up, treasure chest's open and give clues, animals move, things shake... it was truly magical.

We all can't wait to go back!! :) More of our trip is soon to come. Taylor Swift concert with my sis & niece, LegoLand.... FUN!

Our Great Dane, Lady

Our newest family member is a sweet big 'ol Dane :) My dream dog, running partner, and protector- Lady. AKA Lady Marmalade, Lady Bug, Lady Cupcake..... She is 8-9 weeks old and weighs 23 lbs. It is so entertaining to see her wrestle with our chihuahuas. They get along very well! We love our Lady :)

School time!

All in a day's work...
Jaela just loves math, can't ya tell?? They have been learning about different climates and ways of living. We made igloos out of sugar cubes (manufactured here in Sugar Land at the Imperial Sugar factory!) They will be finished today.
Jonah has a math, question in some way, at breakfast everyday! He is 5 and breezing through 2nd grade math.
I am so thankful for the adventure of homeschool. :)

Catching up on Crafty

Here are a few of the dry-erase calendars that I have made.

Jonah has been quite crafty lately too   :)

Playing around

We have been super busy with soccer, volleyball, homeschool, joining a new Bible study led by some new friends and our new great dane, Lady... Last week Jeremiah was out of town. I had to have Jaela at practice, and Jonah at practice and keep the 2 younger girls entertained. :) They ran the soccer field and goofed off. I got some cute pics out of it...and 2 sleeping girls at 8pm!!
On another note, we have been working on our sugar cube igloos and will post pics soon! And there is a blog to come about my sweet great dane Lady. My Dad will be getting one of her siblings next week!!! :) Have I ever told y'all how much I love my Dad? A bunch... Very thankful for him and proud of him.
