sick house!!

Strep Throat has hit the Mohr house... We know of several people that are sick around here, so here's a good chicken noodle soup recipe:

Ingredients

  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped (optional)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (12 ounce) package frozen egg noodles

Directions

  1. Place chicken, water, onion and salt and pepper to taste into a slow cooker. Add celery if desired. Set temperature to low and cook for 6 to 8 hours.
  2. When chicken is tender, remove from the slow cooker and tear or chop into bite-sized pieces. Set aside in a small casserole dish to keep warm. Turn the slow cooker up to high heat and stir in the frozen egg noodles. Cook until noodles are tender then return the chicken pieces to the broth. Adjust seasonings to taste.

Still more pics!

This was our adventure to the Rosenberg Railroad Museum. Inside of the living space, outside of the last standing Texas train tower, and on the museum property. The kids loved it! Thanks to the master mind Carol for the day's plan!! Library, picnic, museum, and old fashion soda fountain!

picture catch up!

We went to San Antonio to see our friend Justin. He has been deployed for a while to an unknown location with the Marines, and leaves again tomorrow. Please pray for his safety!

Our trip to the Blue Bell Factory was so fun! We loved spending time with Carol, Shelley and Will! That was the first of many adventures for this group!!

Blog Revival....

Hello world!! I'm baaaack. :)
Just for you Mom.

Let's play catch up. I am doing great as far as my health goes. Cancer free for almost 6 months! I have complete scans in a week. I still go every 3 months to check everything under the sun. We had a little scare a few weeks ago with 2 new cysts on the same ovary, but it was all ok. My memory is still lacking, but I have hope!
The kids are great!! We've been doing a lot of fun things this summer! Lot's of swimming, Blue Bell Factory, Texas Railroad Museum, Library, Zoo, San Antonio, crafts and cooking! I will catch up on pics soon.

In other major news, we have decided to homeschool this year. I will have Jaela in 3rd and Jonah in K. We will be traveling a lot, and learning hands on! I am super excited about this new adventure! So this revived blog will be a peek into a stay at home, homeschooling, mom of 4, cancer survivor, marathon running, cello learning, sometimes preaching, wife, Jesus following girl........ Get ready!!
